Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager, this role ensures that all raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are properly tracked, recorded, and reconciled. The analyst will collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure product availability, minimize variances, and support efficient production planning.

Key Responsibilities
Production Work Orders & Material Accuracy
  • Review and confirm daily production work orders in Salesforce: material requirements, inventory consumption, scanning transactions, and yields.
  • Ensure correct staging and scanning of all raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
  • Investigate planned vs. actual usage variances and resolve root causes.
  • Validate finished goods lots, yields, and case counts; close work orders on schedule.
Inventory Control & Warehouse Compliance
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across coolers, freezers, WIP, staging, and finished-goods storage.
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce warehouse locations, maps, and process flows.
  • Enforce FIFO, organic segregation, and proper case/pallet identification.
  • Lead cycle counts, research variances, and coordinate physical inventory events.
  • Manage hold inventory, obsolete inventory, and USDA sample raw materials.
Customer Fulfillment Support
  • Validate available-to-ship inventory and support on-time, in-full fulfillment.
  • Investigate shortages or misallocations and implement corrective actions.
  • Track inventory-related service issues.
Period Close & Cost Accuracy
  • Complete month-end reconciliations for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure all Salesforce transactions are accurate and finalized before close.
  • Support cost accounting with yield analysis, BOM accuracy reviews, and variance reporting.
  • Provide support for internal, USDA Organic, SQF, and customer audits.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Execute and validate all Salesforce transactions: usage, issues, transfers, adjustments.
  • Maintain item masters, BOMs, routings, and location data.
  • Produce dashboards and reports for yields, scrap, variances, and key KPIs.
  • Identify recurring data or process issues and implement corrective actions.
Process Improvement
  • Lead root-cause investigations for scanning, material flow, and BOM issues.
  • Recommend improvements to warehouse layout, pick paths, or material workflows.
  • Maintain SOPs and train teams on scanning, traceability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership
  • Oversee inventory staff: assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and cross-training.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3–5 years of inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing experience; food manufacturing or organic beef experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Salesforce preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Understanding of inventory control best practices, production workflows, and yield analysis.
  • Ability to work in cold environments (coolers/freezers).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, GMP guidelines, and company policies; experience with USDA, organic, or SQF compliance a plus.
