Position Overview
The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the inventory management system within our Organic Beef Manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for tracking inventory levels, supporting warehouse activities, and ensuring compliance with established inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Overview
The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the inventory management system within our Organic Beef Manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for tracking inventory levels, supporting warehouse activities, and ensuring compliance with established inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Validate that all raw materials and components are efficiently collected and organized for production on schedule to prevent delays in manufacturing and to ensure the timely completion of returns from the production areas.
- Perform daily cycle counts for all categories of raw materials, consumables, and finished products.
- Monitor consumption levels of packaging materials such as film, corrugated materials, and labels.
- Communicate findings and concerns to Management and ensure that assigned tasks are executed effectively.
- Assist in updating a database to track bin locations, material location transfers, and disposal of products.
- Perform month-end physical inventory counts and audits to verify the accuracy of inventory levels.
- Assist in the organization of warehouse management tasks, ensuring efficient storage solutions.
- Assist in initiatives focused on improving processes to boost operational efficiency in the distribution center.
- Work in conjunction with different teams to promote efficient inventory management and decrease discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment; report any maintenance issues.
- Supporting the Shipping & Receiving Department as the business needed
- Any additional task set forth by the Warehouse Management, within the scope and ability
- 1–3 years of Inventory experience in food manufacturing
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with data collection techniques and demand planning strategies.
- Proficient in using inventory management software, particularly VMS locator or similar systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong analytical skills to assess inventory trends and make informed decisions.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills in English, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely across departments
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurements
- Able to work in cold conditions that range from -1*F up to 45*F
- Current Forklift Certification is strongly preferred
- 1-year forklift experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift a maximum of 60 pounds
- Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, not required
